FRIDAY FAVES :: ON MY RADAR

Happy Friday!  It's been quite a week over here with below freezing temperatures.  My heart is heavy too with everything that's on the news right now.  I'm looking forward to a low key weekend with not much on the schedule besides futsol, baking and sofa time to finish my book!

Here is my line-up for this week!
 1.  Kitchen Organizing Tip :: Why not think out the box when organizing our house?  Have you ever thought of using a planter to store your kitchen utensils?
2.  Hairbrush Upkeep :: Do you ever wash your brushes?  I'm guilty of not doing this enough.  Here's what happens when you don't wash your brushes.
3.  TV Show :: Is it just me or is there nothing to watch these days on TV?  One of my favorite shows is back.  I hope season 2 is as good as season 1!
4.  Game Day Snacks :: How about a healthy protein dip for the game?  These look so good!
5.  Valentine's Day :: How cute is this sweatshirt for Valentine's day?  And this one?

FRIDAY FIVE :: ON MY RADAR

Happy Friday!  Are you as excited for the long Holiday weekend as I am?  We have Lucas' 9th birthday party on Sunday.  Other than that, there's not much on the calendar.

Here's this week's round-up.

1.  Organizing game :: If you are in your organizing frame of mind right now, this
decluttering game might be for you! I like the concept of pulling a random number to determine how many things you are going to get rid of.

2.  Scalp care ::  Have you started taking care of your scalp?  I am relatively new to scalp care, but I do notice a difference when I exfoliate my scalp and apply oil treatments.

3.  High protein dinners :: Are you in your protein era too?  Here's a good list of high protein dinners.

4.  Anti-aging serum :: I am definitely excited to try this new anti-aging serum
from Biossance.  It has a Hydrolift complex that helps reduce visible wrinkles and smooths skin.  Sounds promising!

5.  Target finds :: So many chic ofinds at Target!  I ordered this cute recipe book from Papier and it did not disappoint.

FRIDAY FIVE :: ON MY RADAR

Happy Friday!  It's been a while.  I know.  I'm so hoping to find my pace over here this year.  Fingers crossed.

So my indoor garden is going very well.  Here's my first plant!  It's shungiku, a leafy green with many uses.  I am currently trying to grow lavender indoors.  My outdoor plants never last long, so I'm wondering if I'll be successful.

I am currently getting over a cold (I started early this year) so I'm hoping the looming weekend storm turns out into a snow day on Monday.  I know Lucas will be happy because it's also his birthday.

Here is this week's round-up.  Enjoy!

1.  Reading goal :: If you struggle finding your pace with your reading this might help.  Personally, I make it a point to read one chapter every time I sit down with my book.  It's what's helped the most.

2.  Chocolate:: Valentine's is around the corner.  These chocolate bombs look very tempting.  I would need to DIY with my milk allergy.

3.  Supplements:: Do you take any supplements in the Winter?  I do all of these.

4.  Hobbies:: I read lately that finding/having a Winter hobby is key to surviving the season.  I'm wondering if that's what will me love winter.  I'm currently trying to brush up on my calligraphy.

5.  New decor:: I am loving the new Studio McGee pieces at Target.  I like this lampthis bowlthis bunny and this throw pillow.  I've never done the seasonal throw pillows but I might just start!

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

Happy Friday!  I can't believe we are 10 days shy of July ending.  Summer is flying by.  We went blueberry picking this week, and I think I'll be making some scones with these fresh blueberries this weekend.

Enjoy this week's round-up!

1.  Prebiotic drinks:  Have you tried them?  I am definitely a fun of Olipop.  Classic Root beer and Ginger Lemon are my favorite flavors.

2.  Chocolate dessert:  This recipe caught my eye.  How could you miss all that chocolate?  It made me smile too because it seems to be a Girl Scout classic, and it's now one of Nahia's favorite desserts.

3.  New burger:  If you are tired of the classic burger, this pesto veggie burger is definitely an appealing option.  It's so hard to find plant-based burgers that are also gluten-free and clean!

4.  Miracle cream:  Beautycounter just released a Mighty Plump Water Ceramide cream that is nothing short of a miracle creamIt is a filler without a filler and will transform your skin.  Anybody over 35 will benefit!

5.  Barbie movie:  Will you be watching?  Nahia never played with Barbies but wants to go watch it with some friends so we'll do that!

FRIDAY FIVE :: ON MY RADAR

Happy Friday!  I am getting back here after a long (unplanned) hiatus.  I feel like I have lost my rythm on this platform and I am still working to find my way back.

In the meatime, here is my weekly edit.  I hope you will find it interesting!

1.  Dry brushing ::  This is one of my favorite nightly rituals.  Have you tried it I also like to dry brush my scalp before the shower.  Keep in mind that the brushes don't last forever and yes, you do need to clean them too.  There is no real evidence that dry brushing helps with cellulite but it does help your skin look healthier.

2.  Winding down :: If you have trouble falling asleep at night, here are some good tips for you.  I find that meditation (with legs up the wall) and stretching very helpful.

3.  Summer reading :: Do you find that your reading takes off in the summer?  I have more time which definitely helps.  Here is a good list for you to check out.  I have my eyes set on "Atomic Habits".

4.  Desk essentials :: Is your desk cluttered or organized?  I finally have mine organized and it gives me so much peace.  This list of desk essentials made me smile because I have most of them.

5.  Barbie summer :: Are you ready to channel your pink this summer?  Here are some Barbie-inspired pieces for inspo.  I have my eyes on the pink birkies.  What about you?

FRIDAY FIVE :: ON MY RADAR

I could not be more excited about April.  March seems to last forever here in the Northeast.  The weather stays cold, it's dark in the mornings and there are literally no breaks in school.  So yes, I'm excited for April because it takes us closer to my favorite season- summer.

This weekend is busy.  Bill is back to refereeing soccer, Lucas has his first Pinewood derby and Nahia has a soccer game.  On Sunday we have our annual Easter egg hunt to get into the spirit!

Enjoy this week's round-up!

1.  On cleaning::  Everybody talks about Spring cleaning this time of year.  But what about Spring cleaning your digital life?  My inbox is definitely in need of some attention.

2.  Pancakes:: If you love pancakes for breakfast but get hungry within the hour like me, you should give these oatmeal pancakes a try!  They definitely do the trick.

3.  Home manis::  I was never great at doing my nails and then during COVID I decided I was going to get good at it.  I watched the tutorials from Olive and June over and over, bought their products, and have definitely turned a leaf.  This simple self-care ritual at home saves you both money and time.

4.  Jogger pants:: Are you looking for jogger pants that look like Lululemon's without the price tag?  Look no further than these!  They are buttery soft and you can't beat the price.

5.  Spring jackets:: If you're looking for one too, this might help.  I like this linen blazer, this anorak, and this chore jacket.  What about you?

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

Spring is right around the corner!  My daffodils are blooming and I am so looking forward to getting out in my garden.  I'm definitely excited about the warmer days ahead.

Not much planned for this weekend besides house stuff and boys scouts with Lucas.  I really look forward to his meetings. They are so cute!  We are going to get out kit for the Pinewood derby.  I have no experience with wood, so this should be interesting.

Enjoy this week's round-up!

1. Coffee:: If you love coffee like me, you need to add this French press to your list!  It's glass!  What color would you pick?  I'm between the green one and the blue one.

2.  Done list:: If you are a fan of to-do lists too, maybe you want to give this a try?  I love the shift in perspective.

3.  Sustainable packaging:: Do you think about the container that your products come in?  Sustainability in packaging is finally starting to gain steam and I'm here for it.

4.  Granola butter::  This is undoubtedly my newest obsession and I think I have Lucas hooked! We have both been enjoying the Birthday Cake flavor after school this week.  If you want to try it, here is my discount link.

5.  The third step:: This is something new I have been trying and I feel like it's making a difference.  My hair definitely feels softer and easier to manage.  Do you use a leave-in conditioner?

FRIDAY FIVE :: ON MY RADAR

Happy Friday!  We made it through our first week back after February vacation, and it feels like an accomplishment.  We have a storm coming in tomorrow, so I am looking forward to a quiet afternoon at home watching a movie with the kids.

Enjoy this week's round-up!

1.  Spring refresh:: Is your nightstand in a bit of disarray too?  If so, here are some ideas for a Spring refresh.  I like the Grandmillennial style.  I could definitely use a tray to keep everything contained.  I'm also realizing that keeping my journal on my nightstand might make more sense?

2.  Spring bugs:: If you battle fruit flies on your bananas as soon as the weather warms, you need to try this tip.  It makes sense to me.  Fruit flies go in waves for us and they are definitely annoying.  I used to just keep the bananas in the fridge but then they don't ripen as well.

3.  Guacamole:: If you love guacamole too but hate throwing away leftovers because it browns so readily, this storage container might be worth a try.  I'm adding it to my list.

4.  Recipes to try:: How yummy does this selection look?  My eyes zeroed in on the mint brownies right away.

5.  Energy drainers:: This list caught my eye.  Clutter definitely has an impact on my mood and energy.  It didn't use to bother me back in the day which I am very amused by.  Curious whether blue light-blocking glasses would make a difference for me too.

FRIDAY FIVE :: ON MY RADAR

Happy Friday!  I cannot believe how quickly February vacation week has gone by. I am not ready to go back to reality next week!  I am still trying to figure out how to make it over here with more consistency as you can tell.  This year has been so busy in so many ways and keeping up with Instagram takes up the little free time I have.  I do miss writing though.

We are heading into town today in a little bit to see "The Art of the Brick" exhibit.  I think the kids are going to love it since they are both Lego fanatics.  No big plans for the weekend otherwise besides a birthday party tomorrow with one of Lucas' friends.  Before we head out this morning, I'll be enjoying a slice of this yummy chocolate banana bread.  My kids go crazy for it!

Enjoy your weekend!

1.  Journaling:: If you are into journaling too, here is a list of prompts and affirmations to help you get started.  I find this practice very helpful.

2.  Morning flow:: I start my days with about 5 minutes of yoga stretches and I find it very relaxing.  When I started this routine, I had no idea what stretches to do to be honest, and I am not new to yoga.  If you are like me, this will help you.  I find cat crow and thread the needle poses to be very helpful if you have a bad back like me.

3.  Walking:: I have realized that this is the one form of exercise that I truly enjoy.  The weather in the northeast can be very unpredictable in the winter though, so I am looking into getting a walking treadmill for home to help me get the steps in!  Have you gotten one?

4.  Meatless meal ideas:: If you are looking to dial back meat too, here are some yummy ideas with chickpeas.  I wonder if my kids will go for these!

5.  Gluten-free pasta:: Do you have a favorite brand?  I have tried a lot, but I can't really say I have one brand I absolutely love?  How delicious does this dish look though?  I am curious about the brand-  ZenB.  Have you tried it?

Thank you for reading this post!

FRIDAY FIVE :: ON MY RADAR

I don't know where this week went.  I can't believe February break is almost over.  After a brief taste of Spring this week, which felt absolutely glorious, Winter is back today.  I can't say I'm happy about it.

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland!  We took down the tree and most of the Christmas decorations and I got a headstart baking Lucas' cake for his birthday tomorrow.

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

Happy Friday!  We survived the first week of school (phew!).  Nahia is officially in middle school (how did that happen?).  Needless to say, I feel drained.  I am very much looking forward to the long weekend.  I always find it hard to transition back into the Fall routine, and it seems that the older I get, the harder it gets.

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

Happy Friday!  August seems to be going by so fast, don't you think?  I don't know where our week went, between the cloudy weather and the never-ending rain.

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

How do we only have one week left in July?  We have definitely been enjoying la vida summer over here.  This mama is not ready for back to school.

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

I am missing my hydrangea blooms right about now.  We had to get rid of our old plant when we put in the new wall ac unit and the three new plants we planted had a tough time getting started.  Spring in New England can be rough!

Thankfully, the plants seem to be coming back so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some blooms next year.

FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

Who's ready for the Holiday weekend?  It feels like a rerun of Memorial day weekend over here.  It has been rainy and dreary.  We literally went from 90F weather to 60F in just a couple of days.

FRIDAY FIVE :: Beach Vibes

Happy Friday!  We have a wet and muggy start to our weekend over here!  I most certainly don't like when the humidity peaks.  Next Saturday we are leaving for Maine and I just cannot wait so I figured I would share my beach vibes selection for my Friday Five this week.

MOM LIFE :: Our Summer Bucket List

It's officially our first week of summer vacation so I figured it would be fun to share our summer bucket list.  We are keeping our fingers crossed for lots of good weather so that we can enjoy the outdoors!
