Happy Friday!  This week seemed to go by really slowly for me.  Maybe it's the sinus infection that I've dealing with and the dry January air that just makes breathing harder when you are under the weather.  In any event, I am thankful it's Friday.

We don't have a lot going on this weekend and I can't say I'm upset about it.  I plan to do some baking and we'll likely have a movie party at home.

Enjoy this week's round-up!

1. Organizing tip:: Have you tried using bins to organizer your drawers?  I'm curious if these would work better than the drawers dividers I have for my socks.

2.  Hydrating lip balm:: Just in time for Valentine's day, Beautycounter just released a limited edition hydrating lip balm.  It has skin-care ingredients like hyaluronic acid, jojoba seed, avocado oils and a blend of mango and murumuru seed butters. It is the ultimate treat for dry winter lips.

3.  Styling tip:: I had never heard of the sandwich method but I'm willing to give it a try.  Have you tried it?

4.  Journaling prompts:: I am definitely enjoying journaling right now and plan to use these prompts.

5.  Sleep quality tips::  If you are looking to improve your sleep score, check out these sleep tipsI'm curious about the sleep tape.

Happy Friday!  It's been a while.  I know.  I'm so hoping to find my pace over here this year.  Fingers crossed.

So my indoor garden is going very well.  Here's my first plant!  It's shungiku, a leafy green with many uses.  I am currently trying to grow lavender indoors.  My outdoor plants never last long, so I'm wondering if I'll be successful.

I am currently getting over a cold (I started early this year) so I'm hoping the looming weekend storm turns out into a snow day on Monday.  I know Lucas will be happy because it's also his birthday.

Here is this week's round-up.  Enjoy!

1.  Reading goal :: If you struggle finding your pace with your reading this might help.  Personally, I make it a point to read one chapter every time I sit down with my book.  It's what's helped the most.

2.  Chocolate:: Valentine's is around the corner.  These chocolate bombs look very tempting.  I would need to DIY with my milk allergy.

3.  Supplements:: Do you take any supplements in the Winter?  I do all of these.

4.  Hobbies:: I read lately that finding/having a Winter hobby is key to surviving the season.  I'm wondering if that's what will me love winter.  I'm currently trying to brush up on my calligraphy.

5.  New decor:: I am loving the new Studio McGee pieces at Target.  I like this lampthis bowlthis bunny and this throw pillow.  I've never done the seasonal throw pillows but I might just start!

Clean Beaty Empties- July Edition

It's time for another round of Clean Beauty Empties!  Let's dive right in.

1.  Rosewater toner :: I bought this toner on a whim at Wholefoods when I was waiting for my essence to arrive.  I love how light and refreshing this toner is.  I love that it's alcohol free.  I use this before applying my exfoliating mask to balance my pH.

2.  Priming serum:  This is the first priming serum I've ever used.  It is the only clean priming serum I know of in the market so far.  Why do you need a priming serum?  It basically prepares your skin for make-up but this one also improves skin tone and texture.  You can also wear it under sunscreen for a glowy look.  It delivers both responsibly sourced mica for a glowy look and jojoba ester and tripeptides to moisturize the skin and help brighten and even skin tone.

3.  Leave-In Conditioner : If your hair is regularly dry and frizzy, maybe you are missing the third step.  This is one of the only clean leave-in conditioners I have found and I love how it's helped my hair so far.  It's a lightweight spray that leaves my hair smoother and moisturized.  I apply it every morning and before heat styling with this polishing balm.
