CLEAN BEAUTY EMPTIES :: July Edition

Clean Beaty Empties- July Edition

It's time for another round of Clean Beauty Empties!  Let's dive right in.

1.  Rosewater toner :: I bought this toner on a whim at Wholefoods when I was waiting for my essence to arrive.  I love how light and refreshing this toner is.  I love that it's alcohol free.  I use this before applying my exfoliating mask to balance my pH.

2.  Priming serum:  This is the first priming serum I've ever used.  It is the only clean priming serum I know of in the market so far.  Why do you need a priming serum?  It basically prepares your skin for make-up but this one also improves skin tone and texture.  You can also wear it under sunscreen for a glowy look.  It delivers both responsibly sourced mica for a glowy look and jojoba ester and tripeptides to moisturize the skin and help brighten and even skin tone.

3.  Leave-In Conditioner : If your hair is regularly dry and frizzy, maybe you are missing the third step.  This is one of the only clean leave-in conditioners I have found and I love how it's helped my hair so far.  It's a lightweight spray that leaves my hair smoother and moisturized.  I apply it every morning and before heat styling with this polishing balm.

CLEAN BEAUTY EMPTIES :: March Edition

It's time for another round of clean beauty empties!  Let's dive right in.

Countertime Oil Cleanser

This is my daily cleanser for makeup removal.  I just use one pump, mix it with water and then work it into my skin.  It even removes waterproof mascara! I love how it is not irritating to the eye area and leaves my skin feeling moisturized and glowy.  I follow up with my Dessert Essence cleanser to remove all traces of makeup.

Skin Dew Tinted Moisturizer

Love, love, love this product. It's perfect on its own for the weekends or under foundation during the week if you want more coverage.  It literally checks off all the boxes- SPF, moisturizing, and a hint of coverage.  It feels lightweight on my skin and gives me the glowy look that I love.

SEEN Blow-Out Creme

I had been on a quest for a line of clean hair care products and came across this brand.  If you have tried to find good clean hair products, you understand how hard it is.  This creme is of medium consistency so it's easy to apply and you don't need a lot of product.  It did a good job of cutting down on drying time and preventing frizz.  This was the first fragrance-free hair care brand that I came across so I was really drawn to it.

Hope you find these quick reviews helpful.  Let me know if you try any of these.

CLEAN BEAUTY EMPTIES :: February Edition

Here is another round of Clean Beauty Empties!  Let's dive right in.

1.  Dessert Essence Face Cleanser:: This one was quite a surprise.  I was out of my regular cleanser and grabbed it on a whim at WholeFoods.  It is a clean product at a very reasonable price (how unusual is that?).  With a simple formulation consisting of Castille soap and essential oils, this face wash is effective but gentle.  My skin did not feel dry after washing!  I like to add this bamboo exfoliating polish for a buffing treatment twice a week.

2.  Beautycounter's Countermatch lotion ::This is my go-to moisturizer all year round until it gets really cold when I switch to this one.  This Countermatch moisturizer is lightweight but provides hydration, nutrition and oxygenation throughout the day.  I like that it absorbs readily and does not leave a greasy feeling.

3.  Necessaire's Body Polish ::This is a fairly new addition to my routine.  I didn't know I needed one until I started using one.  Did you know that you should be exfoliating your body just like you exfoliate your face?  I have tried to make my own scrubs at home with varied success.  I find that there's always a common theme-  they are messy in the shower!  That is not the case with this body polish.  It lasts a while and it provides a gentle exfoliation without the mess.

Have you tried any of these products?  Let me know your thoughts below.  The Necessaire body polish is linked in my Amazon storefront.
