MY BEAUTY FAVES :: Beautycounter's Brightening and Vitamin C Oil
Do you regularly use a vitamin C serum in your skin routine? If you don't, this is something that you want to add to your repertoire. Vitamin C is a very beneficial molecule for the skin. It works as an antioxidant to counteract UV-induced photo damage and stimulates collagen synthesis, a protein that helps maintain skin elasticity for a more youthful appearance. In addition, it can also help improve areas of your skin with irregular pigmentation due to sun damage or scarring.
I have tried a lot of vitamin C serums over the years. As a matter of fact, I even went through a phase when I was making my own serum at home. Nowadays, I am enjoying Beautycounter's number 1 brightening and vitamin c oil . I like it's fresh citrus scent which is not overpowering. I have not tried a vitamin C serum with a citrus scent. Even though the formulation contains several oils, the serum has a light consistency and absorbs quickly into the skin. All you need is about 4 drops. It does not make my skin red like other serums or tingle when I apply it.
Lets talk about the formulation of this serum. It contains a wealth of antioxidant rich ingredients and nourishing omega rich oils like marula oil with anti-aging properties. I have been using it during the morning underneath my SPF moisturizer. It does not make my skin oily.
So there you go! These are my thoughts on Beautycounter's #1's oil. What is your favorite vitamin C serum? Let me know in the comments below.
