MY BEAUTY FAVES :: Double Cleansing

Today I wanted to talk to you about a new buzz word I have incorporated into my beauty routine-  double cleansing.  If you haven't heard about it, it means exactly what you think-  cleansing your face two times.  I used to be an advocate of make-up removing towels for their convenience.  They come in a package so they are completely portable and mess free.  However, in my experience, they are never 100 % efficient at removing make-up.  I usually found myself using two towels or doing toner twice.  That got me thinking that this approach, albeit easy, was also wasteful too.

I came across these cleansing muslin cloths on Amazon and I was instantly captivated.  The idea of having a cotton cloth to remove my make-up was very appealing.  Part of me though dreaded the notion of cloths with make-up stains that never come out.  Boy was I wrong.  These cloths feel so luxurious on your skin.  They literally remove all traces of make-up and you can wash off most of it in the sink pretty easily.

I followed the recommendation online and purchased this cleansing balm.  I have read many a blog post on cleansing balms and part of me was just curious.  It is listed as a deep cleansing balm and it literally removes all your make-up.  It is on the pricier side for the size but it's one of those for which a little product goes a long way.  This product is formulated with a blend of oils that protects and fortifies the skin.  It also contributes to its scent but if you are used to essential oils, it's completely manageable.

Last on my wash routine is this Juice Beauty brightening cleanser.  I like to use this in the summer time because it is rich in antioxidants, hydrating agents and it also has fruit exfoliants to help brighten your complexion and target sun spots.

So here you go.  This is my make-up removing routine.  For the first time in a long time I actually look forward to it.  What are your go-to products?  Please let me know in the comments below.
