I started using anti-aging creams consistently in my 20s when that fear of wrinkles and aging crept in. I lately added a retinol serum to my night regime too. Over the years, I have evolved to look for three things in my anti-aging serums and creams: clean ingredients, key ingredients for skin health and a good price point. My transition to clean beauty products was a gradual process that I have talked about previously in the blog.
The Amara Organics brand is a serendipitous discovery of mine on Amazon. They now have their website too. I have been using their anti-aging moisturizer and their retinol serum for the longest time and I wanted to feature them on the blog. I contacted Amara Organics and they were kind enough to give me a coupon for my readers so that you can try their products at a discount, should you be interested. The coupon can be used once per customer for a one-time purchase and can't be applied to a subscribe & save order. The coupon code is PEONIES20 and expires on 5/31/18.
Now lets talk about their 2.5% retinol serum. It has the appearance and feel of aloe so you don't feel like you are applying retinol to your skin. Your risk of getting skin irritation is minimized by a mix of hydrating agents in the formulation like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and jojoba oil. Your skin health will also benefit from ingredients like green tea and vitamin E which have antioxidant properties. I apply my serum after my toner and let it sit for a few minutes before applying my moisturizer. I feel it working because the pores in my nose are easy to clear when I am using it. Remember it's a good idea to use an exfoliant regularly with your retinol serum. Right now I'm loving this exfoliating scrub.
The advanced age-defying moisturizer combines key anti-aging ingredients like fruit stem cells, niacinamide and resveratrol with hydrating agents like hyaluronic acid, evening primrose oil and grapeseed oil among others. It also contains antioxidants in its formula. I have looked at a lot of anti-aging moisturizers over the years and have not found one that combines as many key ingredients in one clean formula. The moisturizer is not too greasy or too dry for my combination skin. It leaves my skin perfectly hydrated and all I need is one pump per application. I have used oils during the summer or drier months of the winter and always find myself going back to this moisturizer. It's price point cannot be matched for such a good, clean product.
I hope you enjoyed my review on Amara Organics. Let me know how you like the products if you decide to try them. The coupon is good until the end of the month!
