My December Favorites

Happy New Year!  I thought I would finish off the year sharing my new discoveries of the month.  This is a new series that I hope you find interesting.  I had fun figuring out how to make the collage!

Two of my monthly faves this time around come straight from the Winter Fab Fit Fun box.  It was my first box and I must say it did not disappoint!  I find there is true value in it, specially if you can snag it for a discount.

1.  AHAVA mineral hand cream
When the cold weather hits, my hands take a toll.  With the dry air and the constant hand washing, I tend to end up with eczema if I don't consistently moisturize and protect my hands from the weather.  This AHAVA hand cream has been quite a discovery.  It has a rich texture but it absorbs quickly into the skin and does not leave you with greasy hands (a pet peeve of mine).  The fragrance is very mild and hardly noticeable.  I find that it's helping keep my hands moisturized in this weather (no eczema or cracks so far!) so it's part of my tool arsenal right now to keep the eczema at bay and try to avoid the steroid creams.  I plan to do a post with all the other items in my routine!

2.  Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment
This exfoliating treatment has been another great find.  As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have enlarged pores in my nose area so exfoliation is a must for me.  The formula in this treatment is gentle on my skin but effective.  I find that the skin on my nose is a lot smoother after consistent use twice a week for about a month.  This treatment is packed with aloe vera and vitamins A and E to soothe the skin and nourish it with antioxidants.  In addition, it contains salicylic and lactic acids and fruit enzymes to exfoliate and improve the appearance of the skin!  I had not come across an exfoliating treatment with more than one type of acid before.

I am a big fan of eye masks!  These eye masks are gentle on the eye area and do not sting when you apply them.  They have collagen and hyaluronic acid to help moisturize and plump the delicate area around your eyes.  Both components have anti-aging properties also and can help reduce dark circles and puffiness.  The way I look at it, when sleeping for 7 plus hours a night is not reality then you need all the extra help you can get to keep those dark circles under your eyes at bay.

I hope you enjoyed this post!  Thanks for reading!
