WHAT I READ THIS FALL

I am so excited for a new season, as hard as Winter can be for me, because it brings me one step closer to Summer.  This school year has been tough in so many ways and I am feeling very drained.
I did not think I had read that many books this season until I started to pull them together from my phone pictures.  It's not a bad selection!  I'm so proud of myself for keeping up with the reading even after school started.  I have found that lunchtime and car line give me daily pockets of time to read, something that I missed dearly.

Without further ado, let's dive into this line-up:

1.  Finding Freedom:  A truly inspiring story about survival and the power of female connection.  You will follow Erin in her journey through life hitting multiple rock bottoms but finally finding her own version of freedom.  For a foodie like me with a love for Maine that runs very deep, this book was a must.  I hope to make it to her restaurant one day.

2.  Not a Happy Family: I could not put this book down!  I was so drawn to this family saga.  The Mertons are brutally murdered after a tumultuous Easter with their three adult kids.  The deeper you dive into the book, the more you realize how broken the family is.  I kept guessing who the murder was until the end.

3.  People We Meet on Vacation:  A captivating story about two best friends, Poppy and Alex, through the years.  They both know in their hearts what they need to be truly happy but it takes them a while to realize that.

4.  That Summer:  A story about overcoming our past and the invaluable value of friendship.  Diana and Daisy's connection is not accidental but together they weave a friendship that proves very valuable to both on their journey.

Thank you for reading this post!
