FRIDAY FIVE :: On My Radar

Happy Friday!  This week has felt longer than usual.  The weather definitely did not help.  I'm thankful we have a couple days of sunny weather ahead of us.  We have started our herb garden and I can't wait until our seeds bloom so we can plant them outside and have more to do outside.  Lucas tends to get sidetracked in the yard digging holes but I have high hopes that having plants to tender to will dissuade him (fingers crossed).

As always, I bring you a selection of things that have caught my eye or I am trying.  Grab your coffee and let's chat!

1. Father-daughter duet // What a lovely rendition of "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera by Mat and Savannah Shaw.    They have beautiful voices!

2.  Thrive Market // I have shared on Instagram stories how coronavirus has changed the way we shop.  Going to the store has lost its appeal for me.  I find it stressful.  It's a combination of the lines, the mask-wearing, and the ever-changing stock status of items you need weekly.  We have been looking at alternatives to find some weekly staples (especially gluten-free ones) and came across Thrive.  Getting staples delivered to our doorstep is something I can get behind because it cuts down on our time at the store.  If we are also saving money, it's a no-brainer.

3.  Masks // I struggle with this one.  Now that our town mandates one for everyone, I need to stock up!  I don't know what to think when I see big stores like JCrew making masks now though.

4. #takethejob //  I woke up this morning to an amazing offer from Beautycounter.  You can now join as a consultant for $50! with their new digital package.  This includes your website and the digital tools to get you started.  There is no requirement to purchase starter sets with this offer.  It can't get easier than this!  If you have ever thought about joining, the time is now!  Having an additional stream of income is so important these days with all the uncertainty- don't let this slip.

5.  How to travel in quarantine //  Are you planning a summer vacation?  We don't have anything lined up because there's no telling when things will be normal-ish or how we'll feel about traveling when some of these restrictions are lifted.  If you are dreaming of going somewhere though, this list of movies to watch might be just what you need.  These travel films include breathtaking views, good food and beautiful landscapes.  I think my favorite is "Eat Pray Love".

I hope you enjoyed this week's selection!
