FRIDAY FIVE :: Five Things Helping Me Right Now

We made it through week 2 of quarantine!  I hope everybody is doing well and finding a new normal.  We've been doing okay overall over here.  We've had our hiccups with Lucas as expected because of his age but we're trying to keep a positive attitude through all of this.

I have a set of "tools" of sorts that I'm finding helpful now more than ever.  I figured I would share in case any of these resonate with you.

Grab your latte or tea and let's chat!

1.  Gratitude Journal :: This quarantine has helped me appreciate the importance of a gratitude journal It only takes 5 minutes but it makes a big difference and can help change your frame of mind as you work through each entry.

2.  You Tube :: I have never really been into You Tube until now.  When you're in quarantine with kids and the weather is not cooperating you realize how much they need to exercise.  It's good for us too. I have found them kids zumba classes, regular workout classes...you name it!  Nahia gets really excited and into it and Lucas will tag along for a little bit and then snuggle with me in the couch (#momwin).

3.  Calligraphy :: This has become a great way to wind down at the end of the day for me.  I have this calligraphy workbook I try to do about a page each night and find it very relaxing.  It's a great way to disconnect for 10 minutes or so.

4.  Self-care :: This is very important now!  I'm not doing much in the way of make-up but still wear my tinted moisturizer and concealer.  It helps me feel more put together.  I also still follow my skincare routine and do my weekly mask.

5.  Online library :: Our local libraries are closed and Nahia is very upset about it because she misses her friends there.  We have been enjoying the online resources at our library.  I've enjoyed catching up with magazines and checking out books online.

I hope you find this list inspiring!  Don't forget about ice cream, coffee and chocolate too.  Our local grocery store has been out of chocolate on and off through all of this so I'm not alone on this one!

Thank you for reading!
