MOM LIFE :: Kid-Friendly Gluten-Free Breakfast Options From Trader Joe's

Let's face it Mamas, breakfast can make you or brake you in the morning with Littles.  These are some kid-friendly options that always do the trick for us on those mornings we all have.  They are all from Trader Joe's!

1.  Cocoa Crunch Cereal:  This is a new discovery.  Our old favorite (the maple ladders) are not available at our store, at least for now.  This one is relatively low in sugar (only 9 g per serving) and has some fiber (2 g) and iron (10%).  My kids love to make "chocolate milk" as they eat it.  It's a win-win.

2.  Chewy granola bars:  These ones are a must-have for those days when you just gotta run.  They also work great in lunch boxes.  They have a good calorie content and are relatively low in sugar (8g) with some fiber and iron.  They are grain dense since they contain oats, millet, quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat.

3.  Homemade pancakes:  These ones have been a find.  They are both dairy-free and gluten-free!  If you are dairy-free like myself, you know how hard it is to find dairy-free pancakes!  I love the texture of these and my son goes bananas for them.  He loves to help me make pancakes on the weekends so this is like a midweek treat for him that doesn't take long to prepare.

4.  Toaster waffles:  These ones are not as popular as the soft pancakes but my kids will still eat them which says a lot.  They like to have them with sunbutter and maybe banana on the side.

So there you go!  This is our breakfast rotation for those days when we run out of the stuff I bake for them.

Have you tried any of these?  Do you have any other gluten-free favorites from Trader Joe's?  Let me know in the comments below.
