MY BEAUTY FAVES :: The Seaweed Bath Shampoo and Conditioner

I love being by the sea.  I look forward all year round to our week away in Maine.  There is something about being close to the water that just agrees with me.  I find that I even sleep better at night!

Given my affinity to the sea, if I can introduce reminders of it in my everyday life I'm all for it.  This shampoo and conditioner set is a recent find of mine and I could not be more impressed by them.  I can get them at my local WholeFoods and they both get a rating of 3 on the ThinkDirty app.

I wanted to share this find because I don't want you to think that I use Beautycounter products exclusively.  I do love pretty much everything I have tried from them but I am also open to trying new brands if they fit my clean standards.

I am impressed that both of these products are gluten-free.  They are definitely in the minority!  I enjoy that they do not have a fragrance.  I know the smell of shampoo will prompt us to buy it but fragrance is one of the things you should learn to avoid.  It's just not good for you.  The shampoo and conditioner are described as "moisturizing" but they do not make my hair heavy or oily (for reference I have thick hair).  I have tried "moisturizing" shampoos that make my hair oily the second day.  This duo seems to be a good fit for my hair type!

The formula is nutrient-rich because it contains seaweed from Maine (bonus points for that) , moisturizing (aloe and argan oil) and restorative (hyaluronic acid).  It is a perfect blend for color-treated hair like mine that has taken a bit of a beating over the years. I recently started coloring my own hair (best decision ever!) and have noticed such a difference in the way my hair feels.  I think that these shampoo and conditioner are only going to help my hair get healthier.

So there you go, these two are my fave right now!  Have you tried any new shampoo/conditioner lately?  What do you like about them?
