CLASSIC & PREPPY :: Blue Gingham Top

This style post was a lot of fun to put together.  My 7-year old daughter is my photographer and we took the pictures in our very own backyard!  I post outfits in my Instagram feed so I figured it would be fun to have fashion posts occasionally in the blog too.  Here's my first!

I would describe my fashion style as classic and preppy.  Sometimes it's more one than the other.  I like to look put together and I need to feel comfortable in what I am wearing. 

Now lets talk about this outfit!  Gingham is a favorite print of mine for summertime.  I am drawn to stripes all year round as you might know if you follow me on Instagram.  This sleeveless top has a classic cut.  It is not too tapered or too lose and it has that very cute ribbon on the waist.  Such a nice detail!  I like how the sleeves fit very nicely and there is no gap under the armpit.  I am not a big fan of having to have tops altered because they are too lose around the arms.  This top is currently on major sale and selling out quick.  It also comes in red.  I paired this cute top with some classic blue capris  They are very comfortable and hold up pretty well during the day. 

I like to wear my capris with wedges during the summer for that added height.  These platform espadrille sandals are incredibly comfortable and very stylish.  I picked the saddle color because I try to stick to light hues during the summertime.  They also come in black.
