DIY Leg Toning Oil (All Natural)

Over the years, I have tried a myriad of creams, oils, and scrubs for my legs to help them look toned.  I have always struggled with poor leg circulation so I have to be very proactive.  I am by no means perfect at it, but our current state of affairs has reaffirmed in me a desire to take extra good care of myself.

I have been on a DIY kick for a while and a leg oil was at the top of my list.  This oil is very hydrating and has a powerful combination of essential oils that are cleansing, detoxifying, and will help boost circulation.  Together, they should also help improve the appearance of cellulite and drain extra fluid trapped in between tissues.

Essential oils are diluted in what we call a carrier oil. I usually use coconut oil or almond oil but, after doing a little research, I found a better oil for a leg oil.  Meet macadamia nut oil, which is very nourishing for the skin and is also anti-aging since it helps boost skin elasticity.  It absorbs very readily so it does not leave a greasy film which is much welcome, especially in the summertime.

Here are the details you need to make your own detox oil!

1/2 cup virgin macadamia nut oil
15 drops juniper essential oil
15 drops grapefruit essential oil
15 drops cypress essential oil

Mix well.  Keep in a glass spray bottle.  I find that the spray bottle works really well for this body oil! The macadamia nut oil is pricey but the spray bottle makes the application a lot less wasteful

Why did I pick these three essential oils?

-  Juniper essential oil works is a powerful cleansing and detoxifying agent and will help reduce the appearance of cellulite.

-  Grapefruit essential oil contains a high amount of both proteolytic and anti-inflammatory enzymes which are essential to help break down cellulite.  It's also been reported that it can prevent the formation of new fat cells below the skin.

-  Cypress essential oil has the ability to stimulate blood circulation which is ideal if you want to decongest tissues since it will help eliminate toxins.

I have been using this leg oil for about 2 weeks now.  I use it after my shower and I always make sure I use the dry brush before the shower to stimulate my circulation.  I am really liking my leg oil so far.  Not only is it very hydrating, but it's also helping my legs look more toned.
